Still Occasionally Lurking...

Ugh, it's embarrassing how much dust has collected on my profile in the past couple years.  That's what happens when life happens I suppose.  Since I last updated, I've changed my location, my job, and my last name.  I got my Master's Degree, got married, and moved to Indiana.  I'm pretty sure I'm here to stay.

It's soooooo nice not to be in school.  Like.  Really really nice.

So, now I suppose I don't have any more excuses to neglect my profile.  I do admit, however, to being in the middle of a creative dry spell.  Other than creating characters for Pathfinder, I haven't really done much since I became an actual adult.

What would my loyal followers, o ye few, like to see me maybe start submitting again?

The Lurker is Lurking

It's been forever.  Time to post a new journal.

So if you hadn't figured out by my picture, I'm now engaged.  Have been since August.  We're getting married in July :D

Much of my art from now on is going to be Pathfinder related.  FYI for all you gamers, I will be making custom mini's with my future brother-in-law.  Information to come (as soon as we come up with some).  Also I've gotten myself into making dice bags, message me if you're interested.

And now I'm off to finish my Master's Degree...

I've been a Deviant for 6 years??  What's that about?

So yeah, contrary to popular belief, I am still alive.  And believe it or not, I actually DO check my Deviant Art messages.  I'm just been a bit busy this past year and haven't spent much time drawing.  Grad school has been eating up much of my time, my sister's getting married in a couple months, and I've met someone that I'm pretty sure I'm going to marry next summer.  I have, however, gotten my Star Trek stories off the ground within the past year, but I'm super slow at finishing them so that's why my profile has become a complete dust-ridden ghost town.  My apologies.

Ok, so I see where Deviant Art is getting at with letting people change their screen names.  But come ON!  How am I supposed to keep track of all my watches if they can change their avatar AND their name??  Now I get incoming art and I look at the person's name and go "...who the hell is that?"  It's really annoying.  My loyal watchers, rest assured that I will NEVER EVER change my screen name.  I love it way too much and use it for everything.  And, I'm pretty sure my avatar hasn't changed within the past two years.  You're welcome =P

Hey Deviant Peeps!

I've started my first year of graduate school so I might be on here a little sparsely.  I'll be checking messages and things but you probably won't see much art from me.  I DO however want to run a contest, but instead of giving out art prizes (since I obviously have trouble keeping up with the request prizes that I currently owe people ^^; ), I would like to give out point prizes.  That is why I've started a Donation Pool .  Please, even just a few points will help toward the cause.  I would like to run some fun, thought provoking contests that are different than your average profile contest on here, but I need to have something to give out as prizes.  If you don't want to simply hand over some points, you can take a look at my Point Commissions and see if you would like to commission me for some points.

Mid-Summer Update

Hey all!  How's everyone's summer been?  Mine has been BUSY!  I have a full time job working in the food bar at a water park and it's hot and miserable but hey, it's money.  The problem is, I have a ga-jillion drawing ideas but not much time to do them.  I have a few sketches done, I just have to color them...

Anyway, I'm super excited because with this new job, I have the money to commission some awesome artists!  So far, I've commissioned xXEternal-twilightXx, Parastorm, Endless-Rainfall and LauraPaladiknight and they've all turned out great!  Here are the finished ones:

Anyway, on to some more important DA news.  I've started a new group for my Pokemon fanfic and fanart saga, "Champion's Journey."  Tom and I work really hard on these stories that we write, and now even Cole has started writing some, so I figured the best way to keep them all together is to have them join DA and post them to the group.  It's still under construction, but the group should be pretty good once it's finished.

I know a lot of fans don't like to read about other people's OC's, but we use quite a few canon characters, including Candice, Riley, Giovanni, Professor Oak, Lucas, and many others to come.  And of course, at some point, our group meets Ash and his group.  I encourage you to read them!  They are pretty easy to read (except for DA's FAIL of a format system).  I've had a lot of people tell me it's like watching an episode of the anime.  It's my and Tom's goal to give our stories the same spirit as the anime, but make them slightly more mature since our characters are older.  If you like what you read, leave a comment!

Speaking of my Pokemon fan stuff, I've finally created a "shipping" name for Kelly and Lucas: SecretShipping :heart:
